Kevin Crum Sr  was appointed to serve as New Hope Baptist Church's 5th Senior Pastor 12/27/2003. Prior to that he started serving in 1983 the Mt Union and Synagogue Baptist Churches and Mt Olive Baptist Church in1986-87 before serving at his favorite southern church for 14 years as Senior Pastor of Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church in Woodland, MS.

The attributes that best describe Kevin Crum as a pastor are strong preaching, teaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like New Hope where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Kevin Crum takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on devotion with God in prayer and a fresh reading of Scripture.

He graduated from Union University in Jan. 1992 with a B. A. degree in  Religion. He also earned a Masters of Art in Pastoral Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May 2019.

 Kevin Crum has been happily married for 31.10 Years to his wife, Sandra. They have four children: Kevin Jr. Lori, Rae'ven, Rachel. They have one grand daughter Zemorah and two grandsons Dontre and Xavier.
